Overcome the afternoon slump!

Let me introduce you to Sun Breaths - a pranayama practice where we gently block the left nostril and then take long, slow inhales and exhales through the right nostril.  This breath is a Nadhi Shodhana where each round is through the right nostril. 

Sun breath relates to pingala nadi which is our masculine channel.  (Nadi is the Sanskrit word for a channel or tube.  Pingala is one of three important channels in the body).

Every Ten Minute Miracle practice is designed to help you re-set, unwind and reduce stress in 10 minutes or less.  So there's no excuse - you can fit this into your day. (This one is only 5 minutes long).

Benefits

When pingala nadi is activated, as it is during Sun Breaths, we experience a stimulating and heating effect.  As this breath warms us it creates energy in the body.  And although it is stimulating is also has a calming effect on the mind - perhaps helping us make better decisions.  On a physical level this breath helps to stretch the spine due to our upright posture and the focused breath expanding and contracting the body.
